KRAL screw pumps with magnetic coupling offer a hermetically sealed solution thanks to the integrated containment shroud, unlike conventional seals. This ensures that neither people nor the environment are endangered.

KRAL magnetic drive pumps offer numerous advantages for demanding applications. One outstanding advantage is the protection of the pumped medium. With conventional seals, oxygen from the atmosphere can diffuse through the sealing gap into the pumped medium. This can lead to the pumped media crystallizing and no longer being able to be processed, which can result in costly system downtime.

Our magnetic drive pumps are hermetically sealed, preventing oxygen from entering the system. This preserves the quality of the pumped liquid and increases operational safety. The hermetic seal also ensures clean and reliable pumping without the need for expensive and time-consuming maintenance.

When developing our new generation of screw pumps, we focused on perfect coordination between the pump and the magnetic coupling. This precise coordination enables us to utilize the advantages of a magnetic coupling without driving up costs. As a result, our pumps are not only powerful and reliable, but also cost-efficient.

Protection against overload.

Our API screw pumps with magnetic coupling offer optimum protection against overload. If the operating limits are exceeded, the pump can be damaged. Solids in the liquid often lead to blockages that damage the spindles and housing. It is then often necessary to replace the pump.

Thanks to our innovative magnetic coupling, the pump remains undamaged even in the event of an overload. The magnetic coupling safely disconnects the pump from the drive side as soon as there is a risk of overload, preventing expensive consequential damage. This disengagement is monitored by the system and switches the pump off in good time. This keeps both the screw pump and the magnetic coupling intact.

Hermetically sealed.
The containment shroud is the sealing element of the KRAL pump. It sits like a seal over the pump shaft with internal rotor.

The function.
The torque of the electric motor is transmitted contactlessly to the pump spindles by the magnetic coupling. For this purpose, the electric motor shaft and the pump shaft each have a rotor with several magnets. The two rotors rotate synchronously out of phase during operation.

No fuel residues.
Due to the sealed magnetic coupling, the fuel has no contact with the air. The heavy oil cannot react with oxygen and form coking, which damages the ball bearing. This eliminates a major cause of pump failure.

Rotary shaft seal
The CK series screw pump is only available with a radial shaft seal. The CL series screw pump can be equipped with different shaft seals thanks to the longer spindle set. External ball bearings are also possible. This pump line is used as a horizontal or vertical foot pump or flange pump as well as a vertical container pump.

Hydraulic pump series-G
The KRAL G series is an industrial-grade solution for pumping lubricants. The pumps are available in six sizes and therefore cover a wide performance spectrum. The low-maintenance operation is a significant advantage for continuous use.

The pumps work reliably at viscosities of up to 500 mm²/s and temperature ranges from -10 to 120 °C, optionally even up to 300 °C. The compact design allows use in space-critical applications. All housing parts can be mounted in 90° steps.

Numerous options - from cartridge seals to tank installation variants - make the series extremely adaptable. The ATEX and API 676 approvals also enable use in international projects with high safety and standard compliance requirements.
